The Reed Fair Venture Capital programme identifies and supports trade fair organisers / companies, and also of those who wish to become active in this market.

A business plan must be provided, which will be professionally examined by Reed Exhibitions. A case-by-case decision will be made on the basis of this examination, and Reed Exhibitions may, at its discretion, make an earmarked investment in your planned event (up to 25% on the basis of the planned success of the trade fair / congress project after three events, and up to a maximum of € 300,000). In exchange, Reed Exhibitions has the right to take over the remaining 75% of the shares of the fair event after three years, on the basis of a price formula that is agreed in advance.

Models that make it possible for the entrepreneur to continue to work on the project, after it has been taken over by Reed Exhibitions, can be negotiated.

A characteristic feature of this concept is that the entrepreneur undertakes the operational and project responsibility, and that he will therefore make offices, personnel and all required systems available, amongst other things. Reed Exhibitions will make financial resources available and will support the project, to the extent that has been agreed. The ownership of shares is determined in dependence on the risk distribution.

If Reed Exhibitions grants Fair Venture Capital to a company, this company may also be given the right to utilise the Reed Exhibitions logo for its events. Beyond this, and depending on the agreements that are made, access can be obtained to the international sales network that is available in 23 countries. Other services and performances by Reed Exhibitions can be discussed individually.

All presented ideas will be handled in a strictly confidential manner. A corresponding document, for the protection of the interests of both sides, will be signed by both parties.
